- Diploma in Glass & Ceramic Technology
Experience
- 3 to 7 years
- The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Group of Companies, Plastic/ Polymer Industry, Sanitary ware, Tiles/Ceramic, Steel
Additional Requirements
- Must have good knowledge of kiln process, dryer operation and panel control
- Strong leadership ability to guide shift engineers and operators
- Good communication skill and ability to work with cross-functional departments
- Good reporting and analytical skills
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making capability
- Ability to work under pressure
- Must ensure safety and discipline of manpower in the section
Responsibilities & Context
AKIJ Ceramics Limited (Tiles) is looking for a skilled and experienced professional for the position of Engineer – Kiln & Dryer. The role is responsible for ensuring smooth kiln operation, maintaining production schedule, monitoring product quality, and coordinating with relevant departments to achieve target production.
Job Responsibilities:
- Organise and ensure production schedule as instructed by the Plant Head.
- Plan upcoming production and prepare sampling in coordination with Laboratory, G.Line, Sorting & QC.
- Monitor kiln operations to avoid problems affecting product quality.
- Operate panel board according to production requirements.
- Provide instructions to shift engineers and operators to ensure smooth operation and reduce breakdowns.
- Coordinate with HODs to improve process and achieve production targets.
- Ensure safety compliance of manpower working in the section.
