Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Law, Industrial Relations, Human Resources, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in industrial relations or employee relations, preferably in relevant industries.
  • Demonstrated experience in negotiating and implementing industrial agreements, Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, etc.

Experience

  • 3 to 5 years
  • The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s):
    Garments, Textile

Responsibilities & Context

Developing and maintaining positive relationships with employees, management, and labor unions

Conducting investigations into employee misconduct or violations of company policies

Consults with the organization on labor laws and applicable legislation

Assist other departmental managers on interpretation and administration of personnel policies and programs.

Provides counsel to workers regarding company and governmental policies, regulations, and procedures.

Negotiating collective bargaining deals between union and management.

Develop and implement labor relations policies and procedures and negotiate collective agreements

Handling Disciplinary action process in the matters like unauthorized absenteeism, negligence, insubordination, idling & wasting the time, stoppage of work, by way of verbal counselling, written counselling, cautioning, warning, suspension & termination.

Handle Domestic Enquiry process

Managing dispute resolutions involving unions, management, employees or government agencies, etc.

Work with line managers and union leaders to handle employee complaints, settle disputes and resolve grievances.

Creating awareness ‍among labor through Training and motivational programs.

Ensuring HR staff is knowledgeable about union contract compliance

Advising management on contract negotiations and similar management-union relations

Heading monthly labor management meetings, Report writing, Documentation etc.

Consulting with HR executive staff regarding personnel policies

Ensure compliance with legislation such as labor law Bangladesh, Buyers COC etc.

Creating and revising union contracts

Preparing documentation regarding labor relations assignment.

Maintain productive and good relationships with all internal and external stakeholders
