Responsibilities & Context

We are seeking an experienced and creative Head of Design to lead our design team in an ethnic clothing retail business. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fashion design, market analysis, pricing strategies, and business development. This role requires a visionary leader who can drive the creative direction of our brand, ensure market relevance, and foster a collaborative team environment.

Noir Clothing is an ethic fashion brand. The incumbent from Club House, Amira, Rise, Twelve, Sailor and Aarong etc. will get privilege.

Key Responsibilities:

Market Survey & Analysis:

  • Conduct regular market surveys to identify current trends, customer preferences, and competitive activities.
  • Analyze market data to inform design decisions and pricing strategies.
  • Stay updated with industry developments and emerging trends in ethnic and fusion fashion combo.
  • Conduct thorough competitive market analysis to understand competitors’ strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats.
  • Monitor competitors’ product offerings, pricing strategies, and marketing tactics.
  • Develop strategies to differentiate our brand and gain a competitive edge in the market.

Design & Development:

  • Lead the design team in creating innovative and culturally relevant ethnic clothing collections.
  • Oversee the entire design process from concept to final product, ensuring high quality and adherence to brand identity.
  • Collaborate with other departments (e.g., Marketing, Production) to ensure cohesive product development.

Pricing Strategy:

  • Develop and implement pricing strategies that reflect market trends, production costs, and customer expectations.
  • Monitor and adjust pricing to maintain competitiveness and profitability.
  • Work closely with the finance team to ensure pricing aligns with overall business goals.

Team Leadership:

  • Manage and mentor a team of designers, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities.
  • Foster a creative and collaborative work environment that encourages innovation and excellence.
  • Set clear performance goals and conduct regular performance evaluations.

Business Development:

  • Identify and pursue versatile business opportunities to expand the brand’s market presence.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including suppliers, retailers, and customers.
  • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and other relevant forums.

Correspondence & Communication:

  • Oversee all business-related correspondence, ensuring clear and effective communication with internal and external parties.
  • Prepare and present reports on market trends, design progress, and business development activities.
  • Collaborate with Marketing and PR teams to promote new collections and brand initiatives.
