Responsibilities & Context

•  Ensure profitability of each vehicle and manage overall transport operation and expenses to eventually convert the SBU in a profitable venture
• Responsible for the overall operation of the workshop, plan revenue budget and ensure the workshop operation is fully functional in its capacity and capable to deliver the required ROI
• Assessment of marketing potential and competitor strength to ensure stronger foothold in car trading & sales to achieve and exceed yearly targets for the company
• Supervise keeping all vehicles safe and in running condition, ensure timely preventive maintenance, breakdown maintenance and fuel consumption maintenance for smooth transport operation
• Oversee overall recruitment & selection process of Drivers in order to select efficient Drivers, manage proper trip schedule and ensure that the Drivers’ trainings are taking place on regular basis
• Maintain liaison with local Government official, Police and BRTA for disciplinary procedure of transport operations and ensure all documents related to transport are timely updated
• Ensure acquisition and timely renewal of vehicle registration, fitness, route permit, tax, other govt. regulations, etc. and manage insurance claim to avoid undue payment
• Ensure availability of spare parts, transport equipment and tools by providing timely requisition in order to minimize downtime of vehicles
• Control the movement of spare parts or other necessary equipment in workshop in order to avoid wastage of all financial and inventory resources
• Manage all stocked materials are arranged in right order, ensure overall safety and cleanliness in workshop according to the established procedures of the company
• Initiate purchase requisition based on suggested re-ordering level for managing minimum and maximum stock in workshop as per company policy
• Check all purchase related documents are maintained as per company policy, verify product specification before receipt of every spare part in workshop store
