Responsibilities & Context

Job Context: The Homecare Intake Coordinator will play a critical role in our homecare services by being the first point of contact for clients and healthcare professionals. This role involves managing inquiries, assessing clients’ needs, and coordinating with our healthcare team to ensure the highest quality of care. The ideal candidate should have experience in the USA homecare field, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently during the specified hours.

Responsibilities:

1. Communicate with clients to understand their needs and provide appropriate homecare solutions.
2. Communicate with insurance companies in English to verify coverage, handle claims, and follow up on authorizations.
3. Take NIYA appointments and manage scheduling efficiently.
4. Send referrals to insurance companies and follow up as necessary.
5. Assist in removing codes such as H78, EP code, and 95 code.
6. Communicate with agencies to complete the intake process.
7. Follow up with patients, agencies, and insurances (1st nurse, 2nd nurse, and 3rd nurse).
8. Request authorizations for MLTC (Managed Long-Term Care).
9. Send referrals and manage DOH (Department of Health) appointment scheduling.
9. Increase service hours for clients based on their needs.
10. Possess a thorough understanding of the intake process.
