Responsibilities & Context
- Evaluate, and monitor the factory’s compliance with environmental, chemical, and buyer COC regulations and standards.
- Assist in development and implement of short-term and long-term objectives and targets to drive continual improvement in environmental and chemical performance.
- Assist and actively participate in ESG reporting such as GRI, CDP, SASB, ESRS and TCFD.
- Analyze environmental aspects and impacts, implementing mitigation measures for significant environmental and chemical risks.
- Follow up on industry-leading standards and initiatives such as HIGG FEM, Clean Chain, BVE3, Bhive, GRI SBTi, AWS, RCS, GRS, OCS, GOTS, OEKO-TEX 100, and Step by OEKO-TEX.
- Prepare and maintain records for energy, water, wastewater, and other consumption metrics as per audit requirements.
- Collection and analysis of chemical and waste inventories according to organizational goals.
- Conduct chemical and environmental training sessions to meet audit requirements and enhance staff awareness.
- Work on obtaining and maintaining necessary licenses, such as Acid licenses and Environmental Clearance Certificates (ECC).
- Oversee the monitoring of Effluent Treatment Plants (ETP) and wastewater management to ensure compliance with environmental standards.
