• Bachelor/Honors, Bachelor of Science (BSc)

• Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Textile Technology.

Experience

• 10 to 15 years

• Must have 10-15 years experiences in same area including working experience in International Laboratory.
• Should have knowledge about computer office applications, internet and email.

Responsibilities & Context

• Responsible for overseeing and managing the physical testing laboratory, ensuring the quality of textiles and garments, and adhering to international standards and buyer specifications.
• Supervise laboratory staff, including technicians and operators, ensuring they are properly trained and follow established procedures.
• Conduct various physical tests on raw materials, in-process fabrics, and finished garments to ensure they meet quality standards and buyer specifications.
• Maintain and calibrate testing equipment, ensuring it is in good working order and accurate.
• Manage sample collection, preparation, and storage, ensuring proper labeling and tracking.
• Prepare accurate and timely test reports, and maintain proper documentation of all testing activities.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance lab efficiency, reduce testing time, and minimize costs.
• Develop and implement new testing methods as required, keeping abreast of industry advancements.
• Ensure compliance with international testing standards (e.g., Bab, Nabl) and buyer requirements.
• Maintain a safe working environment in the laboratory, adhering to safety regulations and practices.
• Communicate effectively with other departments, including production, quality control, and sales, to ensure smooth operations.
• Train staff on new testing methods, procedures, and safety protocols.
• Manage the laboratory budget effectively, ensuring cost-effective operations.
• Manage the inventory of test supplies, chemicals, and equipment, ensuring adequate stock levels.
