Responsibilities & Context

• Learn about seafood sourcing, processing, quality control, and supply chain operations.
• Understand local and international regulations governing seafood trade, safety, and sustainability.
• Rotate through key departments such as procurement, production, quality assurance, logistics, sales & marketing, and export operations to gain holistic knowledge.
• Assist in managing day-to-day processing and packaging operations in compliance with food safety standards (e.g., HACCP, ISO).
• Monitor inventory and cold storage practices to ensure freshness and minimize waste.
• Support B2B or retail sales efforts by preparing quotes, understanding customer requirements, and maintaining client relationships.
• Conduct market research on seafood demand, trends, and pricing.
• Assist in coordinating shipments, export documentation, and liaising with freight forwarders and customs authorities.
• Ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of seafood products.
• Learn sustainable fishing practices and ethical sourcing strategies.
• Support initiatives to improve environmental impact and resource traceability.
• Analyze operational and sales data to identify improvement opportunities.
• Prepare reports and presentations for senior management.
• Contribute ideas to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance product quality.
• Participate in process improvement projects across departments.
• Set learning goals and track performance during the trainee period.
• Prepare for transition into a permanent managerial or supervisory role upon successful completion of the program.
