Responsibilities & Context

Human Resources Management:

  • Oversee the recruitment, hiring, and on boarding of factory workers, supervisors, and support staff.
  • Implement and manage attendance and timekeeping systems to ensure accurate wage and overtime calculations.
  • Manage labor relations, resolve worker disputes, and act as a bridge between management and workers.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws related to minimum wages, overtime, working hours, and factory welfare.
  • Develop and implement HR policies that cater to both factory and administrative staff.
  • Lead employee engagement initiatives and address issues related to worker satisfaction, grievances, and safety.
  • Oversee payroll processing in coordination with the finance team to ensure timely and accurate disbursement of wages.

Compliance:

  • Ensure full compliance with local labor laws, health & safety regulations, environmental laws, and other statutory requirements.
  • Monitor compliance with factory acts, labor laws, fire safety, pollution control, and factory licensing regulations.
  • Coordinate with external auditors, legal advisors, and government authorities for statutory audits and inspections.
  • Ensure the factory adheres to all social compliance standards, especially if producing goods for international markets.
  • Develop and implement workplace health, safety, and environment (HSE) policies and monitor their enforcement.
  • Maintain up-to-date records for all compliance-related documentation and ensure timely filing of all statutory reports.

Administration:

  • Manage day-to-day administrative tasks in the factory, including office management, factory logistics, vendor management, and procurement of office supplies.
  • Ensure the proper functioning of factory facilities, including workers’ canteens, transportation, security, and dormitories (if applicable).
  • Supervise security and housekeeping staff to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Handle administrative budgeting, ensuring cost-effective solutions for factory operations.
  • Oversee factory transport services, including worker transportation and vehicle management.
  • Plan and manage factory events, such as employee health camps, safety training sessions, or team-building activities.

Labor Welfare and Training:

  • Implement labor welfare programs such as health checkups, insurance, and pension schemes in compliance with factory regulations
  • .Conduct training sessions on workplace safety, labor rights, and skill development for factory employees and supervisors
  • .Ensure that workers are provided with protective gear, adequate rest breaks, and other necessary welfare services.

Leadership and Team Management:

  • Lead, manage, and mentor HR, administrative, and compliance teams within the factory.
  • Work closely with department heads to align HR, compliance, and administrative support with factory production goals.
  • Create an environment of accountability, motivation, and team spirit among staff and workers.
