Responsibilities & Context
- Developing, implementing and maintaining the Quality Management System (QMS) for the retailer’s operations (store operations, product sourcing, inventory, distribution)
- Defining and enforcing quality policies, standards, SOPs across all retail outlets and supply chain
- Carrying out regular audits, inspections, and quality checks of products (both sourced and in-store), services and store environment
- Monitoring supplier / vendor compliance and quality performance; collaborating with procurement to address non-conformities and corrective actions
- Setting quality KPIs (defect rate, returns, customer complaints, etc.), report on performance to senior management, initiate improvement plans
- Leading and train the quality team and store staff on quality practices, customer service quality, product presentation, defect control
- Coordinating with store operations, merchandising, logistics to ensure quality is embedded in all processes
- Investigating customer complaints related to product/service quality, implement root-cause analysis and corrective actions
