Responsibilities & Context

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the laboratory to ensure smooth and efficient processes.

• Handle the inventory of laboratory supplies and equipment, including ordering, storage, and upkeep.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant laboratory environment that meets safety standards.

• Develop and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) to guide lab activities and ensure consistency.

• Lead and mentor laboratory technicians and assistants, providing training and support.

• Delegate tasks and monitor project progress, offering guidance as necessary.

• Conduct performance reviews and offer constructive feedback to staff members.

• Plan and execute experiments or analyses according to project specifications.

• Ensure the accuracy and reliability of results through meticulous methodology and thorough data analysis.

• Prepare detailed reports and presentations to document and communicate findings.

• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

• Regularly review and update safety protocols and conduct safety inspections to maintain a secure working environment.

• Manage the handling and disposal of hazardous materials in accordance with regulatory requirements.

• Oversee the quality of laboratory tests and procedures to ensure they meet established standards.

• Implement and manage quality assurance programs, including conducting audits to maintain high standards.

• Address and resolve any issues related to laboratory processes or equipment.

• Maintain comprehensive and accurate records of experiments, results, and equipment maintenance.

• Ensure that all documentation is precise and confidential, upholding data integrity.
