Education
Bachelor`s/Master`s degree in any discipline
Professional qualifications in Customs/Commercial/Supply Chain will be an advantage
Experience
8 to 15 years
The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Manufacturing (FMCG), Garments, Textile, Leather goods/ Footwear/ Tannery, Clearing and Forwarding (C and F) Companies, Freight forwarding, Shipping, Pharmaceutical/Medicine Companies, Trading or Export/Import
Additional Requirements
Proven experience in leading C&F operations and teams
Strong knowledge of Bangladesh Customs, Chattogram Port, ICD, and bonded operations will be preferred
Responsibilities & Context
Lead end-to-end C&F, customs clearance, import/export, and port operations.
Ensure timely and compliant clearance of shipments in accordance with applicable Customs, VAT, and regulatory requirements.
Manage relationships with Customs, Port Authorities, C&F Agents, Freight Forwarders, and other stakeholders.
Drive cost optimization, process improvement, and reduction of demurrage/detention costs.
Monitor C&F agents and service providers against agreed KPIs/SLA.
Ensure accuracy of customs documentation, HS Code, valuation, duty/tax, and regulatory compliance.
Lead, develop, and manage the C&F team.
Provide strategic recommendations to management on C&F operations, compliance, cost, and risk management.
