Requirements

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Apparel Merchandising, Industrial Engineering, Textile Engineering or a related field.
• Students of BUTEX, MBSTU, and BGMEA are highly encouraged to apply.

• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Responsibilities & Context

Job Context: –

• We are seeking a talented and experienced Development Merchandiser to manage and coordinate the product development process for Ralph Lauren. The ideal candidate will ensure the highest standards of quality, on-time delivery, and alignment with the buyer’s requirements.

Job Responsibilities:-

• Manage product development from concept to sample approval for Ralph Lauren.
• Communicate effectively with the buyer to understand their requirements, ensuring all standards are met.
• Coordinate with the design, sourcing, and production teams to develop products in line with buyer specifications.
• Monitor raw material sourcing, trims, and accessories to meet design and quality expectations.
• Prepare and maintain all necessary documentation, including T&A (Time & Action) plans, development trackers, and cost sheets.
• Ensure samples are prepared and delivered within agreed timelines.
• Work closely with the QA team to ensure all products meet Ralph Lauren’s quality standards.
• Stay updated on the latest market trends and materials relevant to the buyer’s expectations.
• Address and resolve any issues related to product development promptly.
