Functional Competencies and Skills:

Key Job Responsibilities:

Act as the second in command to follow the production process, drawing up a production schedule; Involved in the pre-production (planning) stage as well as the production (control and supervision) stage
Ensure that the production is cost effective;
Decide what resources are required; Assist to ensure the production is completed as per schedule
Minimize production waste and frequently develop new ways of production to optimize resources
Estimate costs and set the quality standards; Monitor the production processes and adjust schedules as needed;
Monitor product standards and implement quality-control programmers;
Liaise among different departments, e.g. suppliers, managers;
Work with management to implement the company’s policies and goals;
Ensure that health and safety guidelines are followed;
Supervise and motivate a team of workers;
Review worker performance and prepare performance standards
Identify training needs of the work force and suggest to implement
