Experience Requirements:
- 7 years or above of working experience on a relevant job with at least 3 years in climate change/gender-based violence and governance/right-based approach/SAT implementation, program management including staff supervision, budget, program, and expenditure monitoring.

- Able to drive a motorbike and interested to travel in rural areas having a valid driving license.
- Applicant who has working experience in coastal areas, work on climate change, disaster risk reduction, good governance, and women empowerment-related projects will get special priority.
- Should have the good interpersonal skill and clear knowledge of climate change, adaptation, and mitigation, women empowerment, community development, PWD, environment conservation, etc.
- Good command of Bangla and English.

Job context:
LEDARS (Local Environment Development and Agricultural Research Society) is an NGO Affairs Bureau affiliated NGO working in the southwest coastal region of Bangladesh since 1996. The southwest coastal region is one of the climate-vulnerable areas of the country and people are suffering the negative impact of climate change severely. this context, LEDARS is going to implement a program entitled ‘Community-based Resilience, Women’s Empowerment and Action (CREA) Project’ in Shyamnagar Upazila of Satkhira district with the financial support of Manusher Jonno Foundation(MJF) and the Embassy of Sweden in Bangladesh. LEDARS is going to hire a Project Coordinator for this project. It is a senior-level position and will be the key person for program operation. Following are the major job requirements of this post.
Job Requirements:
- Ensure program management is following accepted standards.
- Responsible for the overall planning of the project and conducting activities based on the plan.
- Responsible for overseeing the development and execution of project activities, and deliverables, leading project planning, mentoring, action plans, and monitoring processes.
- Ability to develop project reports both qualitative and quantitative in English and Bangla.
- Assist the project team and other stakeholders define, communicate, and drive the strategic vision and goal of the project.
- Troubleshoot project problems, launch initiatives to reduce them, and identify and implement creative solutions for smooth project management.
- Supervise all the other project staff by maintaining regular communication with the project staff and conducting regular field visits.
- Monitor project activities through regular visits to the field to ensure the quality of the project deliverables and mobilize the field staff.
- Maintain regular communication with different stakeholders such as different government representatives, CSOs, civil societies, local government Institutions (LGIs), youths, NGOs, CBOs, and women leaders at union, upazila, and district levels.
- Planning, initiating, and reviewing external communication to promote project activities on various platforms.
- Able to write success stories, case studies, social media posts, and regular updates to the LEDARS website.
- Prepare periodic monthly/quarterly/half-yearly/yearly progress reports with the cooperation of other project staff and submit them to the higher authority and donor organization.
- Good knowledge of computer operation including Office software, graphics design, and internet browsing, use of social media tools, etc.
- Facilitate the visit of journalists, CSOs, Government, and donors from home and abroad.
- Prepare documents and reports of all events, program learning, process, and impacts of the project.
- Nurturing relationships with the press for proactive media campaigns as well as for publishing in local and national media.
- Have strong interpersonal skills to develop relationships with project stakeholders.
