  • Seven years working experience in NGO/INGO and among them at list three years’ experience as Project Manager or with similar positions preferably in climate resilient livelihood development and farming

  • Knowledge on program design and project cycle management.

  • Knowledge and understanding on the issues of Livelihood, vocational skill training and IGA, integrated farming system, WASH, climate change, Capacity building, Advocacy etc.

  • Capacity building and learning event management on urban climate risk management

  • Previous experience of formation of and work with community institutions and CSOs.

  • Strong ability to communicate with local level stakeholders including municipalities and local government departments, local govt. and civil society organizations.

  • Strong team building capabilities and inter-personal skill

  • Performance management and staff development skills

  • Having skill on baseline and end line evaluation survey

  • Analytical and periodical report writing skill in English

  • Exceptional verbal, written and presentation skills in English & Bengali.

  • Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities & Context

ROLE PURPOSE

ANANDO is inviting applications for the position of Project Manager, who will undertake the project’s overall implementation, supervision and reporting, under the supervision of the Head of Program of ANANDO. The Project Manager will be based in Satkhira district to execute the project’s plan, activities, and targets.

The Project Manager will be responsible for managing the project on behalf of ANANDO, supported by Welthungerhilfe-Germany. The role will also represent ANANDO in meetings and networks and will increase the profile and visibility of ANANDO’s livelihoods activities as well as country program. He will be in charge of assisting subject matter specialists in organizing activities and providing necessary directions to team under the project. His responsibilities involve in monitoring of project plans, preparation of budgets, supervision and monitoring of activities perform by other staffs, organizing and participating in stakeholder meetings, and ensuring that project deadlines are met in a timely manner. He/she will need to be able to work on tight deadlines, be competent in using Microsoft Office applications such as Word and Excel, and have exceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Developing project implementation strategies and preparing detailed implementation plan (DIP) as per project proposal.

  • Regularly maintaining and monitoring project plans, project activities, budgets and expenditures

  • Ensure timely and proper implementation of project activities aligned with project goal and objectives.

  • Explore the increased gender-sensitive, climate-resilient, and nutrition-sensitive livelihood options practiced

  • Maintain Close collaboration with Welthungerhilfe Project Head and relevant staff

  • Organizing and facilitating meetings, trainings, workshops, orientations, dialogues etc as per organization need.

  • Supervise the WASH intervention including establishing sanitation entrepreneurship under sanitation marketing approach

  • Establish communication with stakeholders including Sathkhira Municipalites representatives, service providers, civil society organizations, village level institutions, local government bodies and government departments.

  • Develop project reports as per requirements of donors and counterparts.

  • Regular arrangement of meetings to review the progress of activities.

  • Documenting and following up on important actions and decisions from meetings.

  • Preparing necessary presentation materials for meetings and seminar as project required.

  • Establishing a vocational learning and growth Centre

  • Supervision, capacity building and monitoring of staffs under project.

  • Guiding and supervisions of proper and timely implementation of the project activities

  • Prepare the success stories/case study and share them to Anando Management and Donor

  • Ensuring projects adhere to frameworks and all documentation is maintained appropriately.

  • Assess project risks and issues and provide solutions where applicable.

  • You are directly reporting to Head of Program for day to day activities

  • Liaison with the Executive Director (ED) and Program Coordinator (Head of program) as project needs.

  • Submit project reports to Head of programs, including activity summary, progress against objectives, services delivered, beneficiary caseload data, achievement to date, issues faced, impact stories, financial expenditure and others.

  • Maintain regular and effective communication with field staff and head office through both verbal and written correspondence.

  • Represent Anando in the deferent meetings of Govt. and NGOs in the sub district level.

  • Establish and maintain liaison with relevant government bodies, private partners, and other stakeholders of the project

Compensation & Other Benefits

Salary: Upto BDT 80,000.- Gross Per Month
