Responsibilities & Context

We are seeking a proactive and organized Purchase Officer to support our procurement team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing and purchasing items, making local purchases as needed, and ensuring timely delivery of supplies for the company’s operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Local Purchasing: Visit suppliers and vendors to purchase items directly and bring them back to the company.
• Price Negotiation: Negotiate prices with vendors to secure the best possible deals.
• Order Fulfillment: Ensure all items ordered are received on time and in good condition.
• Documentation: Collect and organize all receipts, invoices, and delivery notes for each transaction.
• Quality Checks: Verify the quality and quantity of items purchased against specifications.
• Vendor Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with local suppliers and vendors.
• Report to Management: Provide regular updates on purchase activities and any challenges encountered.
