Responsibilities & Context
- Design, implement, and maintain the Laboratory Quality Management System (QMS) in line with ISO 15189, CAP (College of American Pathologists) standards, and organisational policies.
- Develop, approve, and periodically review quality management procedures, technical manuals, and quality manual documentation.
- Conduct internal audits, risk assessments, and process evaluations; monitor compliance and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
- Organise and lead Laboratory Management Committee meetings and ensure follow-up on quality objectives.
- Conduct training needs assessments and implement an annual training programmes for laboratory staff on QMS, ISO requirements, and Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).
- Manage document control systems, including review, approval, issuance, retention, and disposal of laboratory documents.
- Monitor and evaluate laboratory performance through proficiency testing, key performance indicators (KPIs), and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Provide consultancy on quality assurance and regulatory compliance to internal and external stakeholders as required.
