Responsibilities & Context

The Resort Manager plays a pivotal role in the success of a resort by ensuring that all aspects of the operation run smoothly and that guests have a memorable and enjoyable stay.

  • Ensure high levels of guest satisfaction by maintaining quality service standards.

  • Handle guest inquiries, concerns, and complaints in a professional and timely manner.

  • Implement guest service programs and initiatives to enhance the guest experience.

  • Oversee all departments, including Front office, Housekeeping, Food and beverage, Maintenance.

  • Develop and implement operational policies, procedures, and standards. Monitor and manage resort facilities, ensuring they are well-maintained and in excellent condition.

  • Recruit, train, and manage resort staff, including department heads and front-line employees.

  • Foster a positive work environment and provide leadership and guidance to the team.

  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and address staff development needs.

  • Develop and manage the resort’s annual budget, including revenue and expense forecasts.

  • Monitor financial performance against budget and implement cost-control measures.

  • Maximize revenue through effective pricing and sales strategies.

  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute marketing plans and strategies.

  • Promote the resort to increase occupancy rates and revenue through various channels.

  • Establish and maintain relationships with travel agencies, tour operators, and corporate clients Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.

  • Maintain a safe and secure environment for guests and employees. Implement emergency procedures and crisis management plans.

  • Prepare and submit regular reports to the resort’s ownership or corporate management.

  • Analyze data and performance metrics to make informed decisions.
