Responsibilities & Context

Job Context:

We are seeking an experienced and creative Senior Designer for Screen and Placement Printing to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of garment printing techniques, a strong sense of aesthetics, and experience with managing the entire design process. The Senior Designer will be responsible for creating innovative designs for screen printing, placement prints, and ensuring designs are well-executed to meet production and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the development of innovative and visually appealing placement prints, screen prints, and patterns for garments.
Work closely with the design team to conceptualize designs based on fashion trends, customer requirements, and seasonal themes.
Ensure designs are created according to the specified garment styles, including t-shirts, shirts, dresses, and other apparel.
Develop accurate and aesthetically appealing print placements for screen printing techniques.
Collaborate with production teams to ensure designs are compatible with the chosen printing methods (e.g., screen printing, digital printing).
Manage all technical aspects of print designs to ensure the final product meets the required specifications.
Conduct quality checks on the final prints to ensure they meet the company’s standards of color consistency, alignment, and finish.
Oversee the design process from concept to final delivery, ensuring timely completion of all print-ready artworks.
Work closely with the production team to troubleshoot any design or technical issues during the manufacturing process.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met and expectations are exceeded.
Lead and mentor junior designers, providing guidance and feedback to help them grow their skills.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sourcing, product development, and quality control, to ensure the designs align with production capabilities and customer needs.
Communicate directly with clients and stakeholders to understand their design needs and present new concepts.
Assist in the development of design presentations and ensure customer feedback is incorporated into the final design.
Stay up-to-date with current trends in fashion, print designs, and garment printing technologies.
Research market demands and competitor trends to inspire new design ideas and maintain a competitive edge.
Provide expertise on screen printing methods, placement strategies, color separations, and other garment decoration techniques.
Be proficient in using design software, such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and specialized print design tools.
Work with the sourcing and merchandising teams to ensure that print designs are cost-effective and feasible within the set budget.
Ensure the selection of appropriate materials and colors for print designs, taking into consideration garment type, fabric, and print durability.
