Additional Requirements

  • Constant alertness to engineering design risks and opportunities, including proactive intervention where required.
  • The ability to make good decisions based upon a mixture of analysis, financial, experience and judgment.
  • The ability to follow up and follow through on delegated instructions and tasks.
  • Fluent in the Microsoft Office suite of desktop applications and related software packages, with proficiency in MS Excel a must (proficiency in MS Project and PrimaveraP6 an advantage).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly.

Responsibilities & Context

  • Provides planning, design, development, and implementation of Telephony related infrastructure technologies including large Genesys call center applications, GVP IVR,Outbound dialer, VoIP Networking Architecture, Databases, ACDs / PBXs and IP Telephony platforms.
  • Provide project management for the deployment of infrastructure projects, as well as act as primary vendor interface and tier-three support for applications and technologies provided and supported by vendors.
  • Manage effective issue identification and resolution process; serve as the focal point for infrastructure-related issues/crisis resolution.
  • Demonstrate strong analytical and critical decision-making skills.
  • Must be able to support on-call rotation & overnight work as needed.
  • Cooperate with other VoIP network engineers.
  • Assist in developing and deploying VoIP network solutions.
  • Train other VoIP network engineers.
  • Draft and revise technical documentation.
  • Perform role-based and system-specific administrative tasks.
  • Perform software asset management.
