Responsibilities & Context

1. Taking ownership of category P&L.

2. Leading the category and achieving departmental planned targets.

3. Establish and maintain a database of sourcing for the Smooth category as per Policy.

4. Appropriate sourcing of non-food products to enhance margin and availability.

5. Prepare seasonal fast-moving products to ensure availability in the right place and quality through effective negotiation with the suppliers to fix effective price, terms, conditions, product quality, delivery, and return policy.

6. Prepare a yearly promotion plan and communication for the categories that will establish brand and revenue growth.

7. Analyzing data or insights to determine industry and consumer trends regarding the product and category.

8. Developing an exit strategy for unsuccessful products.

9. Prepare the supply chain annual business plan.

10. Develop vendor strength for capacity building, future business capacity, and volumes.

11. Building and driving relationships with key vendors to improve pricing and quality of services.

12. Collaborating with the supplier to expand product categories & variation.

13. Creating forecasts for product demand to ensure the sustainability of inventory ageing.

14. Developing strong working relationships with Sales & marketing teams.

15. Ensure on-time delivery of products along with product availability and maintain optimum stock levels with proper demand planning.

16. Close monitoring item to item in-depth sales, ensuring proper display & merchandising as per the layout plan to enhance category visibility that meets customer needs while fulfilling financial objectives.
