Technical Skills:

• Proficient in testing ERP systems like Oracle E-Business Suite or Java-based applications.
• Strong command of QA methodologies, SDLC, and STLC.
• Familiarity with JIRA, Confluence, Git, GitHub, and JMeter.

• Strong testing knowledge in ERP systems (e.g., Oracle E-Business Suite, Java-based apps).
• Proficient in QA methodologies, SDLC/STLC, and various testing types.

Responsibilities & Context

Position Overview

The Senior Software Test Engineer (SQA Engineer) will be responsible for ensuring the quality and performance of software products through comprehensive testing and automation. The role requires strong knowledge of QA methodologies, test tools, and collaborative problem-solving. The ideal candidate will work in an agile environment, partnering with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable and efficient software solutions.

Key Accountabilities & Activities

Test Planning and Execution

• Develop detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on user and business requirements.
• Execute various testing types including functional, regression, integration, and system testing.
• Ensure coverage across platforms including web, ERP, and mobile apps (Android/iOS).

Test Automation

• Automate repetitive test cases using tools such as Selenium, Cypress, and WebDriver IO.
• Automate mobile application tests using Appium.
• Perform API testing with tools like Postman or Rest Assured.
• Contribute to CI/CD testing pipelines.

Quality Assurance Process Management

• Review and enhance testing environments and quality assurance methodologies.
• Track and manage defects throughout their lifecycle using JIRA.
• Conduct root cause analysis of bugs and errors.
• Prepare user documentation and manuals post-release.

Cross-functional Collaboration

• Collaborate with developers and team members to clarify requirements and prioritize test efforts.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders to manage expectations and timelines.

Research & Development

• Conduct R&D as required to support innovative testing solutions and tool adoption.
• Stay current with testing trends, especially AI-powered testing tools.
