Requirements

Education

• B.Sc. in Industrial & Production Engineering (IPE) from any Public University (e.g., BUET, RUET, KUET, CUET, DUET, etc.)
• Postgraduate Diploma in Supply Chain / Industrial Production will be considered a plus.

Experience

• At least 2 years
• The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s):
  Manufacturing (FMCG), Food (Packaged)/Beverage, Group of Companies

Additional Requirements

• Age at least 25 years

Experience in sourcing/procurement/vendor management in any of the following industries:

• Luggage and Bags
• Chocolate or Food Processing
• Furniture / Wood-based Products
• FMCG or Light Manufacturing
• Food Packaging

Others:

• Strong understanding of sector-wise raw materials and sourcing strategies
• Effective negotiation and vendor management skills
• ERP/Supply Chain software knowledge preferred
• Ability to adapt in a startup environment with multitasking needs

Responsibilities & Context

We are looking for a dynamic Sourcing Engineer (Industrial & Production Engineering) to join our multi-product manufacturing startup. The ideal candidate will have experience in sourcing materials and components for luggage and bags, chocolates, furniture, and related product lines. You will play a vital role in establishing and streamlining the supply chain of a fast-growing company.

Job Responsibilities:

• Source raw materials and production components for multiple product lines (e.g., PU leather, fabrics, zippers, packaging, chocolate ingredients, wood, machinery, etc.)
• Develop and manage supplier relationships both locally and internationally.
• Conduct cost analysis, vendor evaluation, and quality assessment.
• Ensure timely procurement and inventory control aligned with production targets.
• Collaborate with R&D, production, and design teams to ensure supplier specs match product requirements.
• Maintain technical and commercial documentation for procurement.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Line Manager or Management.
