Requirements

Education

• Bachelor of Science (BSc)

• B.Sc. in Industrial & Production Engineering (IPE) from any Public University (e.g., BUET, RUET, KUET, CUET, DUET, etc.)
• Postgraduate Diploma in Supply Chain / Industrial Production will be considered a plus.

Experience

• At least 2 years
• The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s):
  Manufacturing (FMCG), Restaurant, Food (Packaged)/Beverage, Group of Companies

Additional Requirements

• Age at least 25 years

Experience in sourcing/procurement/vendor management in any of the following industries:

• Luggage & Bag Manufacturing
• Packaged Foods & Beverages (Water, Chocolate, Rice)
• Packaging Industry
• Restaurant & Kitchen Equipment
• FMCG or Consumer Products Manufacturing

Others:

• Strong technical knowledge of materials, packaging, and production needs
• Effective negotiation, vendor evaluation, and cost analysis capabilities
• Familiarity with supply chain software or ERP systems
• Startup mindset with ability to multitask across product verticals

Responsibilities & Context

We are looking for a dynamic Sourcing Engineer (Industrial & Production Engineering) to join our multi-product manufacturing startup. The ideal candidate will have experience in sourcing materials and components for luggage, bottled water, chocolate, packaged rice, flexible packaging materials, wooden parts, restaurant & convention setups and related product lines. You will play a vital role in establishing and streamlining the supply chain of a fast-growing company.

Job Responsibilities:

• Source raw materials, production components, equipment, and packaging for multiple product lines including luggage and bags (e.g., PU leather, fabrics, zippers), packaged drinking water, chocolate products (ingredients and molds), branded rice and grains, wood-based furniture, flexible and rigid packaging, machinery, and restaurant setup and equipment.
• Develop and manage supplier relationships both locally and internationally.
• Conduct cost analysis, vendor evaluation, and quality assessment.
• Ensure timely procurement and inventory control aligned with production targets.
• Collaborate with R&D, production, and design teams to ensure supplier specs match product requirements.
• Maintain technical and commercial documentation for procurement.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Line Manager or Management.
