Requirements
Education
Master’s Degree in Education, English, Applied Linguistics, Educational Leadership, Natural Sciences, or a related core subject from a reputed public, private, or international university.
A professional teaching qualification – such as a B.Ed., M.Ed., PGCE, or Cambridge International Diploma in Teaching and Learning (CIDTL) – is highly preferred and will confer substantial advantage.

Professional Experience Track Record
Cumulative Experience: Minimum 5 to 7 years of successful pedagogical and instructional experience within recognized English Medium institutions.
Leadership Tenure: Minimum 2 to 4 years of demonstrated leadership experience in roles such as Vice Principal, Head of Primary, Primary Academic Coordinator, or Section Head in a reputable Cambridge or international curriculum school.
Previous administrative and curriculum-coordination experience within established Islamic English Medium schools will be accorded highest consideration.

Responsibilities & Context
Tarbiyah International Tahfiz Academy is an upcoming, benchmark-setting Islamic English medium institution scheduled to launch its full academic operations in January 2027. Designed to offer a transformative learning journey from Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) through Primary (Grade 1 to 5), the Academy uniquely integrates the globally benchmarked Cambridge Primary Curriculum with a structured, intensive Hifzul Qur`an & Integrated Islamic Studies Programme.
To orchestrate the pre-operational academic architecture and drive institutional execution ahead of our January 2027 inauguration, the School Governance invites applications from accomplished, dynamic, and forward-thinking educational leaders for the position of Vice Principal.

Position Purpose & Leadership Mandate
Reporting directly to the Board of Governors / Head of School, the Vice Principal will act as the operational catalyst and academic custodian of the primary campus. The founding leader is charged with harmonizing Cambridge academic standards with traditional Quranic memorization, recruiting and mentoring a passionate faculty, establishing robust student safeguarding systems, and nurturing an institutional culture rooted in Islamic Adab, intellectual rigor, and holistic child development.
Key Areas of Responsibility
1.Strategic Academic Leadership & Dual-Curriculum Integration
Formulate and implement an integrated curriculum framework that blends the Cambridge Primary Programme (English, Mathematics, Science, Computing, Global Perspectives) with Hifzul Qur`an, Tajweed, and Classical/Communicative Arabic.
Architect a scientifically balanced daily timetable that schedules Quranic memorization during peak morning cognitive windows while facilitating active, inquiry-based academic learning during subsequent hours to prevent cognitive fatigue.
Design standard-based academic calendars, lesson delivery frameworks, internal moderation mechanisms, and formative/summative assessment batteries aligned with Cambridge Primary Checkpoint standards.
2. Faculty Onboarding, Mentorship & Quality Assurance
Lead the evaluation, shortlisting, and pedagogical vetting of primary homeroom educators, Cambridge subject specialists, and Islamic/Tahfiz scholars.
Institutionalize a robust Continuous Professional Development (CPD) program focusing on child-centered learning, differentiated instruction, and active classroom management.
Conduct structured lesson observations, provide evidence-based instructional feedback, and administer fair, objective faculty appraisal frameworks.
Bridge professional culture between conventional Cambridge educators and Islamic faculty, cultivating mutual professional respect, camaraderie, and unified pedagogical purpose.
3. Pastoral Care, Tarbiyah & Child Safeguarding
Embed prophetic ethics, Islamic manners (Sunnah and Akhlaq), and intentional value-based character building across everyday school interactions, assemblies, and co-curricular programs.
Formulate and enforce zero-tolerance child protection, physical/emotional safeguarding, health, sanitation, and campus safety protocols in compliance with international standards.
Implement compassionate student counseling frameworks and positive discipline systems appropriate for early childhood and primary students.
4. Stakeholder Engagement & Parent Partnership
Serve as the principal academic liaison for prospective and admitted families, leading orientation seminars, open-house presentations, and periodic Parent-Teacher Meetings (PTMs).
Communicate student developmental and academic milestones with transparency, empathy, and administrative authority.
Manage institutional communication channels, academic reporting formats, and parent education programs regarding the holistic advantages of an integrated dual-curriculum model.
5. Pre-Launch Operations & Accreditation Readiness (Pre-2027)
Lead pre-opening logistics throughout late 2026, including textbook curation, instructional materials acquisition, STEM and Montessori lab setup, and reading library curation.
Oversee the onboarding and administrative integration of modern cloud-based School ERP, attendance systems, and digital parent-communication platforms.
Assist school governance in obtaining required regulatory approvals, local compliance clearances, and formal Cambridge school registration.
