  • Good oral communication skills in English and Bengali.

Responsibilities & Context

Nazrul Smriti Sangsad-NSS is a non-government Humanitarian Organization working for advancement of poor men, women, children, youth, excluded people and person with disability since 2000. It is a non-profitable, non-political, child and gender sensitive organization. It always values all diversified people without discriminating religions, casts, creeds and suppresses all sorts of discrimination with ethnic and minority people. It also values class and levels of team members as well as beneficiaries.

NSS is implementing a project titled “Partnerships for Improved Reproductive, Maternal, Neonatal, Child and Adolescent Health (RMNCAH) in Coastal Bangladesh” which is funded by Margaret A. Cargill Philanthropies (MACP) and supported by Concern Worldwide. The project is being implemented at Amtali and Taltoli upazilas under Barguna district. The project duration is January 2023 to December 2026. Following this NSS is seeking a competent Union Supervisor, experienced in implementing projects on Reproductive, Maternal, New-born, Child and Adolescent Health or similar type of project. The Union Supervisor responsible for ensuring project activities closely with community people and assist Project Coordinator and RMNACH Specialist for accomplishing day-to-day activities of the project. He/She will lead the Field Facilitators and maintain communication and liaison with Union level Health Service Providers, LGI representatives, Civil Society and other relevant stakeholders.

  • Job Location: Amtali and Taltoli Upazila of Barguna District.

Job Responsibilities

  • Prepare plans of activities according to the DIP.
  • Supervise Field Facilitators and assist them to implement the project activities smoothly.
  • Organize and facilitate meeting, orientation, training, workshop, seminar etc. at Union level.
  • Maintain communication and liaison with Union level maternal, adolescents and child health service providing actors – SACMO, CHCP, FWA, TBA etc. and build better communication with them to strengthen health services.
  • Assist to conduct survey, data collection, FGD, KII, Consultancy Meeting, group formation.
  • Collect information for story of change.
  • Arrange meeting with Filed Facilitators to review the progress of field activities and support them for better implementation of the project activities.
  • Address the issues raised in communities regarding the health services.
  • Communicate with different stakeholders to develop their commitments.
  • Assist Field Facilitators for functional or activation of different committees at Community Clinics and Union Health Centers (FWCs).
  • Identify participants for capacity building training of health service providers at Union Level.
  • Solve the conflict (if any) amongst group members, stakeholders and project staff.
  • Always play supporting role with Field Facilitators.
  • Organize and facilitate meetings at UP level through ensuring required participation with coordination form LGI and UP Health service providers.
  • Maintain relationship with Community Clinics and Union Health Centers representatives to strengthen health service for community people.
  • Collect, update and process information related to impact monitoring of child well-being related impact indicators.
  • Participate Union level coordination meetings and Hospital Management Committee meetings.
  • Prepare monthly report and documentation on different activities and accumulate all data for ensuring quality and authenticity.
  • Assist PC to prepare monthly, quarterly and annual reports as required by the project and share them with donor as well as other stakeholders for review and feedback to improve the areas.
  • Always get ready to facilitate the progress of the project with internal and external visitors.
  • Practice, promote and endorse PSEA policy among team members as well as community people and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
  • Carryout administrative functions as desired by the project to meet the policy requirements of the organization and donor compliance. Assist the higher management in planning and decision making.

Compensation & Other Benefits

  • Salary: Tk. 21,450 per month with festival bonus and other admissible benefits according to the project budget.
