
Senior Officer - Industrial Engineering
Requirements
Education
- Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Industrial Engineering
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial & Production Engineering (IPE) from a reputed university.
Experience
- 3 to 5 years
- The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Electric Wire/Cable, Electronic Equipment/Home Appliances, Group of Companies, Manufacturing (FMCG), Manufacturing (Light Engineering and Heavy Industry), Motor Vehicle body manufacturer
Additional Requirements
- Age 20 to 30 years
- Only Male
- Practical knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, OEE, SMED, line balancing, and capacity planning.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and reporting tools.
- Experience in manufacturing industries; exposure to Light Engineering or Assembly Line operations will be an advantage.
- Good communication, coordination, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple improvement projects simultaneously.
Responsibilities & Context
- Analyze and improve manufacturing processes to enhance productivity, efficiency, quality, and cost performance.
- Conduct time & motion studies, work measurement, line balancing, and capacity analysis.
- Prepare and maintain Operation Bulletins (OB) and process documentation.
- Implement and support Lean Manufacturing initiatives, including Kaizen, 5S, OEE, SMED, and other continuous improvement tools.
- Identify process losses, bottlenecks, and waste; recommend and execute improvement initiatives.
- Support production planning, manpower optimization, workstation design, and factory layout improvements.
- Monitor production KPIs and prepare productivity, efficiency, and operational performance reports.
- Coordinate with Production, Quality, Maintenance, and Supply Chain teams to drive process improvements.
- Assist in developing and maintaining SOPs, work instructions, and standard operating practices.
- Support operational excellence initiatives and promote a culture of continuous improvement.
- Conduct manpower planning and resource allocation based on production capacity and demand.
- Perform monthly operational performance analysis and present improvement recommendations to management.
