Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Food Science & Technology, Food & Nutrition
  • Bachelor in Engineering (BEngg)
  • HACCP (Hazard Analysis & Critical Control Points) Certification – for food safety management
  • ISO 22000 / ISO 9001 Lead Auditor – quality and food safety standards
  • Six Sigma / Lean Manufacturing Certification – process optimization and efficiency
  • Food Safety Supervisor / Manager Certification – regulatory compliance
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) / PRINCE2 – if involved in project/process implementation
  • Certified Food Scientist (CFS) or similar – technical food engineering knowledge
  • Professional Certifications (Additional Advantage):

Experience

    • At least 4 years
  • The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Group of Companies, Manufacturing (FMCG), Food (Packaged), Food (Packaged)/Beverage, Bakery (Cake, Biscuit, Bread), Agro based firms (incl. Agro Processing/Seed/GM), Beverage

Additional Requirements

  • Age At least 28 years
  • Experience in food/product manufacturing or processing industry
  • Experience in product formulation, QC/QA, or process optimization
  • Hands-on knowledge of lab instruments (pH meter, moisture analyzer, etc.)
  • Familiarity with BSTI, BFSA, HACCP standards and compliance
  • Experience in raw material testing and shelf-life analysis
  • Ability to work in both laboratory and factory environments

Responsibilities & Context

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Food & Process Engineer to manage product formulation, quality control, and process optimization for food-grade and related consumer products. The candidate will play a key role in ensuring product safety, compliance, and continuous improvement.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and improve product formulations (Water, Coffee, Tea, Dairy, Spices, etc.)
  • Conduct shelf-life and stability testing to ensure product quality
  • Perform raw material testing and quality analysis
  • Ensure compliance with BSTI, BFSA, HACCP standards
  • Handle Quality Control (QC) & Quality Assurance (QA) processes
  • Optimize production processes for efficiency and cost-effectiveness
  • Work with additives, preservatives, and packaging development
  • Assist in New Product Development (NPD) from concept to commercialisation.
  • Prepare documentation, lab setup, and audit readiness
  • Investigate and resolve product quality issues or failures
  • Coordinate with the production team if needed on factory floor operations.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the In-Charge or Appropriate Authority.
