Requirements
Education
- Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Food Science & Technology
- Master of Science (MSc) in Chemistry, Biochemistry
Experience
- 2 to 5 years
- The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Agro based firms (incl. Agro Processing/Seed/GM), Food (Packaged)
Additional Requirements
- Age 24 to 35 years
- Hands-on experience with standard wet chemistry and proximate analysis methods
- Familiarity with microbiological testing procedures
- Knowledge of mycotoxin and mineral analysis
- Ability to maintain meticulous records and work independently
- Good working knowledge of MS Excel for data recording and reporting
- Prior experience in a food, feed, or pharmaceutical QC lab
- Familiarity with international pet food quality standards
- Experience setting up a lab from scratch
Responsibilities & Context
- Test incoming raw material samples and release/reject batches based on results
- Conduct finished product analysis for every production batch before warehouse dispatch
- Maintain accurate lab records, batch logs, and test certificates
- Calibrate and maintain all lab equipment on schedule
- Flag out-of-spec results immediately to the production team and management
- Develop and refine internal testing SOPs over time
- Assist in supplier evaluation by interpreting third-party lab reports
- Support formulation trials with nutritional analysis data
