Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Accounting, Finance
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).

Additional Requirements

  • Basic understanding of accounting principles and banking transactions.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to coordinate with multiple departments and project teams.
  • Detail-oriented and willing to learn in a fast-paced environment.
  • Prior experience in construction/project accounts is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities & Context

Khan & Sons (Bangladesh) Ltd. is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Project Accounts & Operations Executive to support the day-to-day financial and operational activities of assigned construction projects and commercial operations. This is an entry-level role ideal for candidates looking to build a career in project accounting, construction operations, and financial administration.

The selected candidate will work closely with the Project Accounts Team, Purchase Department, Site Engineers, and Management to ensure smooth processing of project expenses, money requisitions, billing, petty cash management, and record keeping.

Key Responsibilities

Project Accounts & Expense Management

  • Maintain and manage day-to-day expense records for assigned construction projects.
  • Verify project expenses against supporting documents such as:
  • Material Received Reports (MRR)
  • Purchase documents
  • Supplier bills

Sub-contractor bills

  • Process and organize billing documentation for project-related expenses.
  • Prepare summaries of:
  • Petty cash expenses
  • Sub-contractor payments
  • Site operational expenses
  • Monitor and reconcile project expenses regularly.

Requisition & Fund Coordination

  • Collect and prepare money requisitions for assigned projects.
  • Coordinate with project teams and the purchase department regarding required expenses and material purchases.
  • Submit requisitions to the Managing Director for approval.
  • Coordinate with the Cash Department for fund disbursement.
  • Update project expense records after approved fund releases.

Accounting & Record Keeping

  • Enter and maintain financial data in **Tally ERP** and Excel spreadsheets.
  • Reconcile project accounts, bank transactions, and expense records.
  • Prepare periodic expense and financial summary reports in Excel.
  • Maintain organized records of project financial documents and vouchers.
  • Prior experience in Tally is not mandatory; however, candidates must be willing to learn and receive training.
  • Commercial Property & Rental Record Management

Maintain records related to:

  • Sale of shop/store allotments for KSBL Shopping Mall
  • Installment tracking for sold units
  • Rent collection records
  • Follow up internally regarding payment status and outstanding balances.
