Experience in Automobile Spare parts procurement to be given preference.
Professional Certification in Procurement, Cost Control, and Supply Chain will get preference.
Responsibilities & Context
To ensure uninterrupted plant and logistics operations by efficiently managing procurement of automobile spare parts and related mechanical, electrical, and power plant components in a cost effective, timely, and compliant manner while maintaining optimal inventory levels and strong vendor reliability:
Process purchase requisitions and generate purchase orders in compliance with procurement procedures.
Ensure timely sourcing of automobile spare parts for fleet vehicles and plant equipment to avoid operational disruption.
Identify, evaluate, and develop reliable vendors and conduct quotation analysis and commercial negotiations.
Coordinate with transport, mechanical, and maintenance teams to understand requirements and urgency.
Ensure availability of critical and fast-moving spare parts to minimize fleet downtime and dispatch delays.
Monitor and control inventory levels including reorder points, slow moving, and non-moving items.
Track purchase orders and follow up with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery and quality compliance.
Process vendor bills independently with close coordination with concerned user departments and Accounts & Finance for accuracy and timely payment.
Maintain procurement documentation and ERP records ensuring audit readiness and compliance with VAT/tax regulations.
Perform any other duties assigned by the line manager from time to time.
