Education

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Additional Requirements

Proven expertise in Linux system administration, including network services, storage management, and security.
Deep understanding of routing and switching protocols and deployment in distributed environments.
Hands-on experience with NFS storage server configuration, deployment, and management.
Strong knowledge of Cisco SDN network management, F5 Load Balancer, and NGINX web server configuration.
Proficiency in managing and optimizing OTT streaming infrastructure with applications
like Wowza, Nimble, Zixi and others streaming applications.
Should have hands on experience on MUX, Transcoder configuration and
management for live TV channel streaming
Strong background in Docker and Kubernetes, with hands-on experience deploying
containerized applications.
Advanced troubleshooting skills using Linux-based diagnostic tools like tcpdump,
iptables, iostat, netstat, and strace.

Expertise in Linux kernel tuning, system optimizations, and performance analysis.
Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, with experience automating Linux systems using Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
Experience with streaming infrastructure scaling in cloud environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
Knowledge of Kubernetes cluster management and Docker security best practices.
Strong understanding of firewalls, VPNs, and network security in Linux environments.

Responsibilities & Context

Nexdecade Technology (Pvt.) Ltd. leading value added service provider in Bangladesh. We are working with all mobile telecom operators more than 12 years with different services. Currently we are managing more than 20 million customers, we are the pioneer in development for OTT / IPTV / IOT platform in Bangladesh. We got 200+ employee, Member of Basis and licensed operator from BTRC.

We are seeking a highly skilled Network Infrastructure Lead with deep expertise in Linux systems to manage, design, and maintain our distributed network infrastructure and storage systems. The successful candidate will lead the deployment and troubleshooting of complex network and storage solutions, ensuring seamless integration with multiple Internet International Gateways (IIGs). This role also requires proficiency in OTT streaming infrastructure, containerization using Docker and Kubernetes, and the management of Linux-based systems, making the candidate a key player in optimizing network and streaming performance.

Manage the design, implementation, and maintenance of our network infrastructure at Nexdecade Technology (Pvt.) Ltd.

Key Responsibilities

Network Design & Deployment:

Lead the design and deployment of distributed network infrastructure, focusing on routing, switching, and storage integration.
Seamlessly integrate the network with multiple IIGs and efficiently manage the data path.
Troubleshoot complex network issues involving routing, switching, storage, and application layers.

Network & Storage Management:

Expert-level management of Linux systems for networking, storage, and security services.
Deploy, configure, and manage NFS storage servers and mount storage endpoints.
Manage network configurations using Cisco SDN, including F5 Load Balancer and NGINX web server environments for high availability.
Implement advanced Linux kernel tuning and network stack optimizations to ensure maximum performance and security.

Linux Expertise:

Oversee and manage Linux-based network infrastructure, including firewalls, DNS, DHCP, and high-performance web servers.
Utilize Bash scripting and automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet) to streamline network and server configuration management.
Perform Linux-based security hardening, including SELinux/AppArmor configuration, firewall rules, and system monitoring.
Analyze and troubleshoot Linux server performance issues, using tools like iostat, vmstat, netstat, and tcpdump for advanced diagnostics.

OTT Streaming Infrastructure:

Design, deploy, and manage OTT streaming infrastructure, ensuring efficient operation of streaming applications such as Wowza, Nimble, Transcoder, and MUX.
Oversee the transcoding workflows and optimize streaming systems for performance, scalability, and fault tolerance.
Integrate streaming infrastructure with Linux systems for content distribution, media processing, and secure delivery.

Containerization & Orchestration:

Deploy and manage containerized applications using Docker.
Implement and manage Kubernetes for container orchestration, ensuring scalable and resilient deployment of network and streaming services.
Maintain secure and efficient Linux-based container environments, optimizing resource utilization and network traffic within the Kubernetes clusters.

Collaboration & Reporting:

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software development and operations, to ensure the integration of network, storage, and Linux-based infrastructure with project requirements.
Provide detailed reports on system performance, storage utilization, network issues, and infrastructure optimizations.
