  • Ability to respond promptly to emergencies.
  • Experience in training others in GBV Case Management and/or Mental Health and Psychosocial Support.
  • Cultural awareness and sensitivity.
  • Strong facilitation, coaching, and mentoring skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel).
  • Excellent communication skills in Bangla and English.
  • Understanding of the Rohingya language (preferable)

Location of Posting: Ukhiya/Teknaf

Type of Contract: Fixed-term contract

Duration of Contract: Up to 30 September, 2025 (if not extended)

Job Context

As a GBV Case Management Officer, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality GBV case management services, ensuring timely and sensitive support to GBV survivors. You will work closely with volunteers to provide technical guidance, maintain data quality, and uphold GBV core principles while contributing to the mission and goals of Jago Nari Unnayan Sangtha (JNUS) to serving the beneficiary with the survivor centered approach.

Key Responsibilities

Case Management and Technical Support

  • Deliver GBV case management services directly to survivors, ensuring all cases are handled confidentially and ethically.
  • Managing their caseloads effectively, ensuring adherence to GBV Core Guiding Principles.
  • Collect and document the information for GBVIMS and GBVIMS+ data entry and reporting.
  • Provide coaching and technical support to volunteers (para-caseworkers).
  • Assist with complex and challenging cases, collaborating with supervisors and specialists as needed.

Capacity Building

  • Participate in capacity-building activities for JNUS staff and volunteers, including GBV case management training.
  • Support volunteers in building their technical competency through mentoring and hands-on guidance.

Coordination and Reporting

  • Collaboration with other JNUS other staff of the MPWC to ensure efficient service delivery.
  • Represent JNUS in coordination meetings and interagency taskforces at the camp level.
  • Prepare timely and accurate reports for supervisors and donors, highlighting challenges and achievements.
  • Maintain case records and submit updates as required (weekly/monthly).

Additional Responsibilities

  • Ensure adherence to humanitarian principles and international GBV standards.
  • Support community outreach activities to raise awareness about GBV and available services.
  • Undertake other tasks as assigned by the line manager.

Reporting Relationships

  • The GBV Case Management Officer will report to the GBV Case Management Supervisor.
  • The role involves close collaboration with the project team, other JNUS staff, and inter-sector agencies.
