  • Excellent knife skills and knowledge of traditional Chinese knife work
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Good team work and communication skills
  • Food safety certification required
  • Experience in high-volume restaurants or hotels
  • Knowledge of dim sum preparation and traditional Chinese banquets
  • Ability to create fusion dishes that blend Chinese flavors with international tastes
  • Strong understanding of seasonal ingredients and sustainable practices
  • Formal culinary education with emphasis on Chinese cuisine
  • Proficiency in both traditional and modern Chinese culinary techniques

Responsibilities & Context

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Chinese Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in authentic Chinese cuisine preparation, knowledge of regional cooking techniques, and a commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and execute a diverse menu of authentic Chinese dishes
  • Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and portion control
  • Manage kitchen staff during service and ensure efficient workflow
  • Develop and maintain inventory systems to minimize waste and control costs
  • Stay updated on culinary trends while preserving traditional Chinese cooking methods
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards
  • Assist in menu planning and recipe development for Chinese offerings
