Responsibilities & Context

Job Responsibilities-1: MRT Contract Specialist

• 1. Take full responsibility for contract management of MRT (Mass Rapid Transit) projects, including contract negotiation, signing, performance management, and risk control.
• 2. Review contract terms to ensure alignment with company interests and compliance with legal and regulatory requirements; identify potential contractual risks and propose mitigation strategies. Participate in the preparation and evaluation of bidding documents, providing professional advice on contract clauses.
• 3. Coordinate contractual communication and dispute resolution among stakeholders such as the client, consultants, and subcontractors, ensuring smooth contract execution.
• 4. Actively engage in contract management matters during the project execution phase, including schedule, variations, and claims, to support project compliance and profitability.
• 5. Optimize contract management processes based on the local context of the Bangladesh market, enhancing localized management practices; provide institutional support and professional training for the company’s projects in the South Asia region.
• 6. Guide and mentor contract management team members to drive continuous improvement in team capabilities.

  Job Requirements-1:

• 1. Around 50 years old, with over 10 years of contract management experience in urban rail transit (MRT) projects.
• 2. Familiar with the local market environment, laws, regulations, and industry practices in Bangladesh. Candidates with hands-on experience in local projects are preferred. Understanding of international engineering contract systems is required.
• 3. Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to safeguard company interests in multi-party negotiations. Fluent in English, with the ability to proficiently handle English contract documents and cross-cultural communications.

  Job Responsibilities-2 HSE Specialist

• 1. Develop and improve an HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) management system tailored to construction sites, in line with the regulatory framework and market practices of the Bangladesh MRT sector, ensuring full compliance with both local and international standards throughout the project lifecycle.
• 2. Conduct comprehensive risk assessments on construction safety, environmental protection, and occupational health at project sites. Develop scientifically sound and effective risk prevention plans; carry out regular hazard inspections and supervise corrective actions to minimize the likelihood of incidents.
• 3. Oversee the implementation of HSE protocols during the entire construction process, promptly rectifying any non-compliant behavior. Lead the development of project emergency response plans, organize emergency drills, and respond swiftly and effectively to any safety or environmental incidents to minimize losses.
• 4. Maintain effective communication with local government agencies, industry associations, and partners to stay updated on HSE policy changes and incorporate them into project management.
• 5. Organize targeted HSE training programs based on the characteristics of each project and regional requirements, enhancing employees’ awareness and operational skills in safety and environmental protection. Foster a proactive HSE culture and ensure deep integration of the company’s HSE philosophy at the project site.
• Job Requirements-2:
• 1. Around 50 years old, with more than 10 years of HSE management experience in the engineering sector. Familiar with HSE practices and characteristics of the Bangladesh MRT market; Bangladeshi nationals are preferred.
• 2. Proficient in HSE standards and regulations, capable of effectively applying various HSE management tools and methods. Strong skills in risk assessment, incident analysis, and report writing.
• 3. Fluent in English, with the ability to use it as a working language for communication.
