Responsibilities & Context

The DASCOH Foundation is currently searching Assistant Accountant and Admin to join its team for the implementation of the “Thriving through Equity Economic Empowerment and Climate Resilience (THRIVE) Project” in collaboration with HEKS/EPER Bangladesh. The Assistant Accountant will assist the Finance and Admin Officer (FAO) in preparing book keeping, and financial documents while maintaining appropriateness and confidentiality. Additional responsibilities include supporting the financial and administrative operations of the THRIVE project at the community and Upazila levels.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Check regular basis of all bill/voucher produced at Upazila, Upazila and community level.
  • Ensure all financial records made accurately and proper preservation at Office level.
  • Ensure logistics supply time manner with records for assigned district.
  • Ensure day to day bank transaction and expenditure with proper documents.
  • Ensure cash flow to the Upazila offices maintaining the organization policy comply with DASCOH and HEKS/EPER policy and procedure.
  • Assist FAO to provide correct periodic financial report to DASCOH and HEKS/EPER.
  • Certainly, here are three additional responsibilities added to the existing list.
  • Collaborate with the Finance and Administration Officer (FAO) to ensure accurate and timely provision of periodic financial reports to DASCOH and HEKS/EPER.
  • Monitor and track expenditures against budgets, flagging any discrepancies or areas of concern.
  • Coordinate with external auditors during financial audits, providing necessary documentation and assistance as required.
  • Keep inventory record of the project assets at district level.
  • Orient staff about the administrative and policy issue.
  • Ensure timely posting of all transitions into the ledger.
  • Reconcile general ledger accounts on a timely basis.
  • Ensure office administrations in absence of FAO and safety of all valuable assets.
