Responsibilities & Context
The candidate should have experience working in 5/4 star hotel and resorts.
Event Planning and Coordination:
Meet with clients to understand their catering needs, preferences, and budgets.
Plan menus, themes, and layouts for events such as weddings, corporate functions, and parties.
Coordinate with clients to finalize details, including timelines, guest counts, and special requests.
Menu Development: Design and customize menus based on client preferences, dietary restrictions, and event themes.
Collaborate with chefs and kitchen staff to create innovative and appealing dishes.
Ensure menus are cost-effective and aligned with the budget. Staff Management:
Hire, train, and supervise catering staff, including servers, chefs, and event coordinators.
Assign roles and responsibilities to team members for each event.Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to staff.
Budget Management: Prepare and manage budgets for catering events. Monitor expenses and ensure events stay within budget.
Negotiate with vendors and suppliers to secure the best prices for ingredients and equipment.
Vendor and Supplier CoordinationSource and manage relationships with vendors, suppliers, and contractors.
Ensure timely delivery of food, beverages, and equipment for events.Verify the quality of products and services provided by vendors.
Logistics and Operations: Oversee the setup, execution, and breakdown of catering events.Ensure all equipment, such as tables, chairs, linens, and serving ware, is available and in good condition.
Coordinate transportation of food, staff, and equipment to event locations.
Customer Service: Act as the main point of contact for clients before, during, and after events.
Address client concerns and resolve any issues promptly.
Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction to encourage repeat business.
