- Enjoys seeing a project or task to its completion; detail-oriented, self-starter on projects.
- Willingness and ability to travel domestically and be in the field for up to 40% of his/her work/time.
- Basic computer proficiency, including utilizing office software (e.g., word processing, spreadsheets, and presentation tools).
- Fluent in spoken and written Bengali and English.
- Preferred: Experience working with youth, marginalized and underprivileged communities, and skills development training.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Consortium Coordinator is responsible for providing leadership and management of the Bangladesh Youth Employment Consortium (BYEC) Hubs.
LOCATION: Bangladesh (Dhaka, Rangpur or Khulna)
REPORTS TO: BYEC General Committee
DIRECTLY SUPERVISES: Hub Coordinators (To be hired)
FULL JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Consortium Coordinator is responsible for providing overall leadership and management of the activities and operations of the BYEC Hubs. This role involves overseeing hub activities, coordinating with key stakeholders, and ensuring the effective execution of hub plans. The Coordinator will handle hub operations, including planning, budgeting, communications, monitoring and evaluation, program design, risk management, and reporting. The Coordinator is responsible for building Hub Operations Teams including supporting the recruitment of Hub Coordinators, and directly supervising and guiding them in executing the Consortium’s plan. The Coordinator also serves as the point person for communication and coordination between the Consortium’s General Committee and the Hub operations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Hub Operations Management:
- Oversee and manage day-to-day hub activities and operations, ensuring smooth and efficient functioning.
- Develop and implement operational plans for each hub in collaboration with the BYEC Steering Team and General Committee.
- Provide support and oversight for hub-related tasks including planning, execution, budgeting, and risk management.
- Ensure alignment of methods and processes across hubs to facilitate seamless data aggregation and consistent reporting.
- Facilitate effective communication, coordination, and alignment among hub teams and stakeholders, ensuring the BYEC Hubs stay market focused and connected to suitable work opportunities for youth.
Team Building and Supervision:
- Recruit, onboard, and manage Hub Coordinators, providing guidance and support to ensure successful execution of the Consortium’s plans.
- Foster a positive and collaborative team culture within Hub Operations Teams.
- Conduct regular meetings to align team efforts, address issues, and promote professional development.
- Evaluate team performance and implement strategies for continuous improvement.
Communication and Coordination:
- Serve as the primary liaison between the Consortium’s General Committee and Hub operations.
- Maintain clear and effective communication channels with consortium members and external stakeholders.
- Coordinate with local government officials as needed and relevant stakeholders for compliance issues.
- Coordinate the development of hub-related reports, updates, and promotional materials.
Project Planning and Execution:
- Lead the planning and execution of hub activities, ensuring alignment with the Consortium’s mission and objectives.
- Develop detailed project plans with timelines, milestones, resource allocation, and risk management.
- Monitor project progress, address any issues, and ensure timely, within-scope, and within-budget delivery.
- Prepare and distribute project updates and reports to stakeholders.
Financial Management:
- Oversee budgeting for hub activities and ensure adherence to financial guidelines.
- Monitor and manage hub-related financial practices, coordinating with BYEC legal representatives for compliance.
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting to the General Committee, donors, and government entities.
Monitoring and Evaluation:
- Facilitate the monitoring and evaluation of hub activities, integrating feedback and learnings into operations.
- Ensure evaluation processes are effectively implemented and inform future hub strategies.
