Responsibilities & Context
Employment Type: Permanent
Department: Department of Computer Science & Engineering
Major Responsibilities
Provide technical support and assistance to students, faculty, and staff with computer-related inquiries and issues.
Set up, configure, and maintain lab equipment, including computers, printers, scanners, and other peripherals, ensuring optimal functionality.
Manage and update the department portal on the university’s website, ensuring accurate and timely information is available.
Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues, including virus removal, software installations, and system updates, to maintain seamless lab operations.
Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the computer lab, ensuring a safe and conducive environment for users.
Conduct training sessions and workshops to educate users on proper usage of software and hardware, enhancing their technical proficiency.
Monitor inventory levels of supplies and equipment, and order replacements as needed to ensure the lab is fully equipped.
Adhere to and enforce all lab safety protocols and procedures, ensuring a secure environment for all users.
Perform additional duties as assigned, contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the computer lab.
