Responsibilities & Context

Project Summary:

The Earth, a Non-Profit Organization dedicated to community development, youth engagement, and volunteerism. The strategic partners for the project are Department of Youth and Development (DYD), National Youth Council (NYC), National Skills Development Authority (NSDA), Bangladesh Technical Education Board (BTEB), USAID, ILO, EU, and the World Bank.

The “Bangladesh Integrated Journey of Empowerment and Employability (BIJOYEE)” Is a comprehensive Initiative focused on empowering and engaging young people in Bangladesh. It aims to address various aspects of youth development, including education, skill-building, employment, entrepreneurship, civic engagement, and social inclusion. Through this integrated approach, the program aims to provide opportunities and support systems that enable youth to thrive, contribute to society, and become active participants in the nation’s progress. The project focuses on the youth (18-35) who are not in education employment or training (NEET) and who are living at or below the poverty line (15% will be EET).

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Manager, Skills & Employment. The Manager, Skills & Employment, will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating all aspects of the project, ensuring its successful execution and timely completion. The role will involve collaborating with various stakeholders, managing project schedules, tracking deliverables, and facilitating communication among team members. The ideal candidate should possess strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proven track record of successfully managing complex projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, design, and deliver training programs aligning with organizational goals.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify training needs and enhance existing programs.
  • Coordinate engaging training sessions and workshops, maintaining resources and schedules.
  • Implement strategies to boost learner engagement and participation.
  • Foster relationships with external training resources and experts.
  • Monitor learner progress, integrate training into organizational activities, and analyze data for program effectiveness.
  • Support e-learning material development and mentor trainers for quality delivery.
  • Create innovative strategies to enhance job placement, skills training, and career development opportunities.
  • Cultivate and maintain strategic partnerships with businesses, government agencies, educational institutions, and other NGOs to create employment opportunities and support systems.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify workforce needs and develop tailored solutions.
  • Lead a dedicated job placement team, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure effective program delivery and achievement of objectives.
  • Develop and implement monitoring and evaluation frameworks to assess program effectiveness and impact.
  • Analyze data and generate reports to inform decision-making and improve program outcomes.
  • Advocate for policies and practices that promote equal employment opportunities and support the integration of marginalized groups into the workforce.
  • Raise awareness about employment-related issues through campaigns, workshops, and community engagement.
