Education
- BSc in Laboratory / Diploma in Medical Technology (Laboratory) from a recognized institution.
Experience
- At least 2 years
Additional Requirements
- Age At most 30 years
- Only Male
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a reputed diagnostic laboratory.
Required Competencies:
- Sound knowledge of laboratory techniques and diagnostic procedures.
- Ability to operate automated laboratory analyzers and equipment.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Basic computer proficiency and experience with Laboratory Information Systems (LIS) will be an advantage.
- Candidates must be non-smokers.
Responsibilities & Context
Key Job Responsibilities:
- Receive, process, and analyze patient specimens according to established laboratory procedures.
- Perform laboratory tests in Hematology, Clinical Pathology, Biochemistry, Immunology, Microbiology, and Blood Bank as assigned.
- Ensure proper sample collection, labeling, storage, and transportation.
- Operate, maintain, and perform routine quality control of laboratory equipment and analyzers.
- Accurately record, verify, and report test results within the stipulated turnaround time.
- Maintain laboratory records, registers, and documentation as per standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Ensure compliance with laboratory safety, infection prevention, and biomedical waste management protocols.
- Assist in inventory management of reagents, consumables, and laboratory supplies.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of laboratory workstations and equipment.
- Perform shift handover responsibilities and report any critical or pending issues to the concerned authority.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the management.
