Responsibilities & Context
Job Context:
The Training Coordinator’s overall responsibility will be to develop unique training modules and programs for the project and overall program-related functions. Working under the project “Protect the marine biodiversity in Bangladesh through sustainable fishing and fish processing, improved fishery value chain, and empowering women and youth in marine conservation in five selected fish landing sites”, s/he will be responsible for all program activities and General Support Service for smooth implementation of the project.

Job Responsibilities:
- The candidate will be responsible for assisting technical leads in developing and designing course materials and sessions to be participatory and impactful by using proven pedagogical approaches.
- The candidate will develop work plans, and detailed implementation plans (DIPs), and provide training to the Activity staff.
- Develop templates to guide the design and implementation of training materials
- Provide templates for different types of relevant training modules for TOT (Training of Trainers) and direct training for participants that technical staff can use
- Create a ‘toolbox’ of interactive training materials for staffs
- Develop and provide training to all levels of project beneficiaries/staff on how to facilitate interactive learning sessions, how to conduct TOTs, and how to directly train participants using effective methodologies for low-education/literacy adult learners
- Develop work plan, and detailed implementation plans for the development of training materials and delivery.
- Manage time and costs to maximize efficiency and impact
- Field test modules and adapt as necessary to increase learning
- The Training Coordinator will coordinate with the project team, partners, and donors to share training updates. S/he will have to prepare reports and submit them to the Project Coordinator on regular basis.
- Establish contact and maintain lasting rapport with the Department of Fisheries, Fisher Association, Fishing groups, Educational institutes and other relevant stakeholders.
- Take full responsibility for the quality implementation of the different training.
- Actively support case skill-building trainer on training curriculum with supervision and guidelines regularly and follow-up.
- Develop and implement a work plan for beneficiaries, herself, and the supervisee.
- Prepare and maintain database information for trained beneficiaries. Enhance and build the capacity for trainers on different training activities.
- Strong skill in documentation both hard and soft copies to monitor the progress of beneficiaries.
- Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the program’s goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
- Practice, promote the issues of safeguarding policy among team members, and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
- Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, and encourage others to do so.
- Perform other relevant tasks assigned by the supervisor.
