Requirements
Education
- Diploma or above in Textile Engineer or Apparel related disciplines
Experience
- At least 6 years
- The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Chain shop
Additional Requirements
- Good knowledge in textiles production and sourcing businesses
- Experience gained in garment factory & sourcing/ buying offices with multi-products capability & experience
- Good knowledge in fabric, garment sewing, fitting and production for knit, woven, socks and accessories
- Familiar with European/ UK /Australia /USA testing and safety standards, and Acceptable Quality Level (AQL) Standards
- Mature, flexible, trustworthy, professional with positive attitude
- Excellent communications and interpersonal skillsGood written and verbal communication skills in English;
- Attention to details and good organizational, coordination and planning skills
- Good level of computer literacy: MS office applications
Responsibilities & Context
Responsibilities
- Responsible for quality related tasks of the assigned product categories, including co-ordination and follow-up on product testing, inspection, factory audit/visit and invoicing.
- Work with factory/ Sourcing/ Buying teams to execute orders as per the agreed critical path
- Review/approve samples/ artworks/ certificates/ quality related reports to ensure product is meet with company quality standard and legal requirement before shipment
- Follow up quality related issues and propose feasible solutions/ improvement plan
- Support to build/ update testing protocols on existing/new products of the assigned product categories across all consumer markets
- Conduct product risk assessment and provide technical advice or recommend appropriate modifications to factory
- Provide regular update to (Senior) Quality Manager/ counterparts on order status/ quality issues as required
- Lead a small team of Specialist(s) to achieve high level of performance and work efficiency
- Co-ordinate with Sustainability department to ensure production facilities is comply to company’s requirement
- Conduct pre-production meeting and factory/production visit and create reports where necessary
- Proactively conduct research and connect with local/regional/ global counterparts on the latest regulatory and corporate requirement updates
- Communicate/ provide training to factories on ALDI quality approval process
- Handle customer complaints or enquiries where necessary
- Handle ad-hoc task assigned from (Senior) Quality Manager when necessary
