Responsibilities & Context
- Review and approve material specifications as per project requirements.
- Evaluate and approve concrete mix designs.
- Check raw material quality (cement, aggregates, sand, water, admixtures, etc.).
- Conduct sieve analysis, moisture content, and specific gravity tests.
- Monitor stockpiling, storage, and handling of materials.
- Ensure materials comply with ASTM/BS/ACI standards.
- Coordinate with suppliers for material delivery and quality control.
- Prepare and maintain material test reports and certificates.
- Perform trial mixes and optimize concrete mix ratios.
- Supervise daily plant operations (batching, mixing, delivery).
- Ensure plant calibration and equipment accuracy.
- Monitor the batching process as per the approved mix design.
- Check moisture correction and automatic plant settings.
- Ensure the timely delivery of concrete to the site.
- Inspect plant equipment (silos, conveyors, mixers) for maintenance.
- Maintain inventory of cement, aggregates, admixtures, and fuel.
- Coordinate with the QA/QC team for slump and test samples.
- Monitor concrete temperature and batching records.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the management.
